Top 5 Cafes In Nanaimo To Cozy Up In On A Rainy Day
This rainy grey weather is just calling for a hot cup of coffee and somewhere cozy to hide away. Well we’ve got you covered! We’ve put together our favourite local coffee shops that bring a little something different than your usual drive thrus.

Regard Coffee Roaster
Regard is an awesome coffee shop with two locations. One is in the North End on Mostar Road and the other is central Nanaimo on Bowen Road. They roast their own coffee and make each beverage with meticulous care and creativity. There is not a lot of seating in ether location but it’s a great place to sit down and meet someone new!

This is a unique cafe located downtown Nanaimo on Wallace Street. There is plenty of seating here! Long tables for large groups, single tables for a cozy coffee date or big comfy couches and chairs to really sink into and stay awhile.
They have delicious food! Fresh baked muffins, awesome cinnamon buns and delicious wraps and sandwiches. This is a great place to stop for a quick lunch!

3. The Buzz Coffee House
The Buzz is a very welcoming and warm place to be. They have really made it feel like you have walked into someones home. The staff is very friendly the building is beautiful and the coffee is great! They have a lot of baked goods to choose from with some great gluten free options. There is a large list of both hot and cold drinks and they have excellent daily specials.

Bocca makes some of the best baked goods we have ever experienced. Fresh baked bagels, carrot cafe, amazing nanaimo bars, loafs and so much more. As well as homemade quiche, pies and paninis. There is something for everyone here. Another great thing to know about this cafe is that they have half off their baked goods on Sunday! Bocca is located downtown Nanaimo in the Old City Quarter.

5. Drip coffee|social
Drip is a brand new coffee shop and social located on the waterfront in Departure Bay. It is not quite open yet but coming very soon! We are so excited for this one as we feel like we have been waiting for some one to finally utilize that beautiful view. We are not too sure what the menu will look like yet but we do know they will be serving drumroaster coffee as well as beer and wine. It will be the first of it’s kind here in Nanaimo and we can’t wait!
