We have been so fortunate to have this gorgeous fall weather and we hope you’ve been taking advantage of it! If not, or if you’re looking for some more ideas we have put together our Top 5 Halloween Activities in the Nanaimo Area to really get you into the Fall Festivities.

  1.  Spooky Swims

    Halloween Swim

    The city of Nanaimo is hosting two fun Halloween themed swim nights. The first is a “Dive-in Movie Night” on Oct 20th at Nanaimo Aquatic Center. Bring your floatie and settle in for a viewing of Hotel Transylvania 3!

    The second is a Halloween Howl on Oct 26th at Beban Park Pool. The pool will be transformed into a spooky setting with a haunted water slide tower, snakes in the lazy river, colored water and more!

  2. Nanoose Bay Halloween Walk

    Nanoose Bay Halloween Walk

    This is a outstanding event for all ages. Located on a 10 acre piece of land in Nanoose Bay the Halloween Walk has lots to see. There are two trails to take part in, lite up by over 150 pumpkins! The spooky walk is great for all ages. The scary walk is not recommended for small children.

    Advance tickets are $5 each or $7 at the gate. The whole event take 20-35 minutes to complete.

  3. McNabs Corn Maze

    McNabs Corn Maze

    This is a wonderful place to really get into that Fall feeling. Each year the Mcnab farm creates a beautiful corn maze for you and your family to enjoy. They offer hayrides down to the pumpkin patch where you can choose that perfect pumpkin. They also have a large selection of gourds to purchase.

    Do you have a larger group or a special event? You can rent one of their fire pits for 2 hours to enjoy. Bring your own hot dogs, pop and s’mores!

  4. Spooktacular Science Challenge

    Top 5 Halloween Activities in the Nanaimo Area

    The 6th Annual Spooktacular Science Challenge is on Sunday October 28th at Bowen Park (lower picnic center). Explore Bowen Park while taking part in various spooky science stations all ending with an Explosive Science Demo!

    You can pre-register online or you may register once you arrive. Your ticket includes a hot beverage but make sure you bring your own mug! There are also food and beverages available for purchase.

  5. Haurds Haunted House

    Halloween Haunted House
    This one might not be so much for the kids, or maybe yours love a good scare! This haunted house is located in Ladysmith and gives all donates received towards local youth groups and charities in Ladysmith and Nanaimo. We have heard great things about this haunted house!
