Smart Home Ideas

Is it time to make your home, a Smart Home?
First, what is a Smart Home? A Smart Home is a fully digital home.
Second, why do you want a Smart Home? Technology is always growing, and if used correctly can be a valuable tool in making your life more manageable and enjoyable.
How can a smart home benefit you?
- It can save you money. Yes, you read that right, we know it costs money to get the tech needed to make your home more digital but in the long run it can save you money. You can auto program your heating and air conditioning for optimal usage. Turn on and off lights on command, and more.
- Convenience. How many times have you headed up to the bed and realized you left the basement light on or left the coffee pot on? Having smart plugs and smart light switches, you can just grab a tablet or phone and remotely turn them off. You can also do that when you are out of the house – so no more worries about leaving the iron on.
- A smart assistant. If you don’t already have one, grabbing a Google Home or an Alexa can be useful. It can be used as a speaker, a way to keep notes and reminders and so many more things. With smart assistants, you can have an app on your phone to access any of the lists and reminders you made while at home. It all ties in together!
Ways your home can be smart:
* A digital security system. Accessible to you anytime you want to see who is at the front door delivering a package, if your dog is safe at home or if you are on vacation and you want peace of mind that your home is perfectly protected. Security systems have evolved to the point that you can have cameras and doorbells that are all synced to your phone!
*You can also have digital appliances.
*Digitally accessible curtains or blinds that can open when you are ready to rise and shine.
If you are a bit apprehensive on going completely digital we get it, but try to get a digital thermostat at the very least. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much they can save you on energy costs.
Smart homes are wired for sound, wired for life. It is the next step in tech and we think it will become a huge part of what might sell your home.
